House Tours

Interpretive guides lead tours of the first floor of the Oatlands mansion and discuss the lives of the families who owned Oatlands, the history of the house, and choice pieces of the large collection of furniture, portraits, and decorative objects in the mansion. Visitors are encouraged to take a self-guided tour of the second floor, where interpretive signs give information on the use of the rooms and the objects inside.

Guided house tours average 30 to 45 minutes. Also plan time to enjoy the gardens and grounds.

Self-Guided Tours

Guests may also enjoy a self-guided walking tour of the Oatlands grounds, including more than 4 acres of terraced gardens and various outbuildings. Interpretive signs give key information along the way.
