| Common Name: Golden Bridalwreath Spiraea Scientific Name: Spiraea thunbergii 'Ogon' Blooming Dates: Spring Comments: 'They call me Mellow Yellow' but at Oatlands we call this Golden Bridalwreath Spiraea. Growing in the Mixed Border, it overlooks the Hourglass Parterre, where many weddings take place through the growing season. Although it blooms in white in early spring, the finely textured foliage is a soft golden yellow throughout the growing season. |
